Rebour Wins With "The French Nuts"

Level 4 : 150/350, 350 ante

Theo Rebour called in the small blind after Alexandre Richert opened to 800 on the button.

The pair both checked the {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop and the turn brought the {9-Hearts}. Rebour checked and Richert put out a delayed continuation bet of 1,000. Rebour called.

The pair checked the {3-Spades} river and Rebour showed {5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Richert opened {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for king-high but then realised that Rebour had flopped a pair of fives and mucked his hand.

"That's the French nuts," said Istvan Szakacs from the other end of the table.

"Why?" asked Rebour.

"Because you won the hand!" replied Szakacs.

Early Pot Goes the Way of Carteron

Level 2 : 125/250, 250 ante

Florian Carteron opened to 650 and Roland Pardoux called. Jean Salaun was on the button and three-bet to 3,000. Both players called.

The flop of {10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades} was checked to Salaun who continued for 3,000. Carteron was the only caller.

The pair checked the {9-Spades} turn and {4-Spades} river and Carteron showed {4-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a missed straight, but crucially a rivered pair. Salaun checked his hand before mucking.

Boski Loses Out to Dezilleaux

Level 2 : 125/250, 250 ante

On a {7-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop Sylvain Dezilleaux check-called a bet of 850 from Aleksander Boski and the turn brought the {3-Clubs}.

Dezilleaux appeared to check, but then bet 1,200 before Boski could act. The dealer clarified and after consulting with Boski, the bet was allowed to stand.

Boski then raised to 4,200 and Dezilleaux called.

The pair checked the {a-Spades} river and Dezilleaux showed {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Boski checked his hand before mucking.
