Dupont Doubles Through Diaz Perez

Level 4 : 150/350, 350 ante

Throughout a board of {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{4-Spades}{a-Spades}{k-Spades}, the chips trickled in between Spain's Jose Raul Diaz Perez and Henry Dupont with the latter as the effective short stack. Ultimately, Dupont's shove for the last 9,500 was called and he tabled the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} for kings full of aces while Diaz Perez showed {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} for just aces and kings.

Short Stack Double for Plaza Tello

Level 4 : 150/350, 350 ante

The start into Day 1a had not been very pleasant for Juan Luis Plaza Tello and he lost a big portion of his stack. The remaining 11,400 went in preflop with the {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and he was looked up by Emilio Jose Navarro Montalba with the chip leading stack at the table. The fellow Spaniard turned over {a-Spades}{8-Spades} but the suited ace didn't get there on the {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{2-Hearts} board.

Le Gal Takes From Danneker

Level 4 : 150/350, 350 ante

In a larger pot that had emerged out of a battle of the blinds, the completed board showed {q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Jean Le Gal had checked to Cedric Danneker who bet 10,000 into 18,000. Le Gal then check-raised to 26,000 and that sent his opponent into a deep tank.

Eventually, the clock was called on him and Danneker folded the {q-Spades}{2-Spades} for two pair. "Show the bluff, everybody is here," he said to the table neighbour but Le Gal just raked in the pot.

Debregeas Loses a Small Pot

Level 4 : 150/350, 350 ante

Winamax Top Shark competition winner Loic Debregeas has been spotted in the Day 1a field and was just involved in three-way action to the {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop on which he check-called a bet worth 600 by Kevin Rogeon. The {j-Spades} turn and {4-Clubs} river were checked and Debregeas tabled the {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, which Rogeon had beat with {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a pair of jacks.

Dominguez Loses a Small Bunch

Level 3 : 150/300, 300 ante

Following a heads-up turn of {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades}, Pedro Dominguez check-called a bet worth 500 and they headed to the {10-Clubs} on the river. Dominguez checked to his opponent, who checked it back and the Spaniard tabled the {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for the missed straight draw. It was no good as the other player in the hand tabled the {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for a pair of queens.

The First Seat Open

Level 3 : 150/300, 300 ante

While the six-max format can be very volatile, only three players have been eliminated so far. Two of them, Raffael Zarbo and Benjamin Tessier, have already re-entered and it appears likely that all other casualties may take the same approach as each Day 1 features a single re-entry.
