Perez Gomez Busts Kiriakus

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

In a multi way pot to the {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{10-Spades} river, Jose Perez Gomez bet 6,500 out of the big blind. Jonathan Therme folded and Ibrahim Kiriakus then moved all-in for 48,000. That got rid of Haramburu Sauveur on the button while Perez Gomez went into the tank and asked for an exact count.

Once the Spaniard called, Kiriakus was aiming to muck his cards but had to show the {7-Clubs}{7-Spades} anyways. Perez Gomez turned over the {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for two pair to deal the final blow.

Red Diamond Player Ivanc With a Solid Stack

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Julijan Ivanc is one of several Red Diamond players in the field, invited by Winamax to take part in the live events for free thanks to the Supernova Elite like status.

He was just spotted knocking out a shorter stack with the cards of the player at risk in the muck. The {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} of Ivanc had missed the {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades} board but held up anyways.

Sala Takes a Hit

Level 15 : 1,200/2,500, 2,500 ante

Corentin Sala was among those to bust in a previous day and he has done by far better on Day 1c thus far. The rise suffered a setback however when one of the re-entries got it in for 50,700 with the {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Sala called with the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}.

The {k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} board provided a pair for each as the opponent doubled only to then lose the vast majority in the next all-in showdown.

Cassagne Among the Casualties

Level 15 : 1,200/2,500, 2,500 ante

With more than half of the field gone, some of the former big stacks of the early stages are no longer in contention. This includes Clement Cassagne and Robert Robinson. While the table of the former features one new big stack in Morgan Cuyon, the same cannot be said about Robinson.

The Brit re-entered recently only to bust in quick succession and that brought his journey on Day 1c to an end.

Pirault No More in Day 1c

Level 15 : 1,200/2,500, 2,500 ante
Francois Pirault
Francois Pirault

Francois Pirault was spotted on the rail and the Team Winamax sponsored pro recalled his final hand on a table that has since already broken. According to the Frenchman, Pirault fired a triple barrel bluff for 3,000 on the {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop, 7,000 on the {9-} turn and 21,000 on the {7-} river.

He was called by the small blind with the {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Pirault was caught with the fingers in the cookie jar, as he only had {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}. The late registration in Day 1c remains open as he can re-enter once, or Pirault may also enter the turbo heat 1d as of 9pm local time.

Split Dinner Break Ongoing

Level 15 : 1,200/2,500, 2,500 ante

All tables in the main room from one to 74 have been sent on a 60-minute dinner break. The higher table numbers in the same room and Mandalay will continue for another two hours before they switch.

So far, Day 1c has attracted a massive field of 946 entries and there are 473 players still in contention.

Szydlowski Runs Out of Chips

Level 15 : 1,200/2,500, 2,500 ante

Adrian Garcia Marin had further boosted his stack by knocking out the table neighbour and the empty seat was filled by Adrien Szydlowski, who got it in preflop with {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Mario Rodrigo Gonzalez had the dominating {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and paired the king to leave Szydlowski with fumes.

The last bit went in preflop with the {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Denis Gomez got there with {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} on a board of {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}.
