The penultimate starting flight of the Winamax Poker Open Bratislava €500 Main Event has come to a close at the wonderful Banco Casino.

Today's action saw 929 more hopeful entries, to take the final total to a record-breaking 2,221. However much of the field left Day 1c empty handed as only 155 players progressed to Day 2.

Across all the starting flights, just 371 players qualified and they have locked up a min-cash of the €977,240 prize pool.

Payouts have yet to be determined but will be announced when Day 2 gets underway at 12 p.m. CEST on Saturday October 1.

None of the Winamax Team Pros survived Day 1c, but several fared better in Day 1d, which you can find in our latest blog post.

Georgi Abuladze ended Day 1c as chip leader and bagged the biggest stack so far of 1,105,000. Patrik Ciklamini and Maxime Large finished the session with 1,065,000 and 981,000 respectively.

Alexandre Husset was the player to the burst the bubble. His ace-jack could not beat the nine-six held by Georgi Abuladze. There were other key hands today, but none more spectacular than the aces vs. kings vs. queens that boosted Romain Semler through to Day 2.
