Romero Joins Winamax Team Pro's on the Rail

Level 24 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Alejandro Romero
Alejandro Romero

Alejandro Romero ripped in his 245,000 stack on the button and was called by Thomas Bellanger from the small blind.

Alejandro Romero: {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Thomas Bellenger: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

It was another coin flip but this time, it would go in Bellenger's favour as Romero could not connect on the {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} runout.

Margets and Kanit Head to the Rail

Level 24 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Leo Margets
Leo Margets

Leo Margets jammed over the top of the 32,000 open from Viroel Gherciu, who made the snap-call.

Leo Margets: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Viorel Gherciu: {a-}{a-}

Margets added some outs after making a pair on the {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop but failed to improve on the {4-Diamonds} turn and {5-Diamonds} river.

Fellow Winamax Team Pro Mustapha Kanit seat has also been eliminated from the Main Event.

Ivanc Down Bian

Level 23 : Blinds 7,000/14,000, 14,000 ante

Pierre Bian was all in for 100,000 and was called by Julijan Ivanc. Bian had {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and was dominated by Ivanc's {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}.

The {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop help neither player but the {9-Clubs} turn added straight outs for Bian. The {8-Diamonds} river kept Big Slick ahead and Bian's Day 2 was over.

Gomez Gets Out of Line

Level 23 : Blinds 7,000/14,000, 14,000 ante

Mathieu Gomez opened to 28,000 from the button before Day 1a qualifier Martin Munoz made it 99,000 in the big blind. Gomez then four-bet jammed for 488,000 and Munoz made the quick call to Gomez' disappointment.

Mathieu Gomez: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Martin Munoz: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

That frown was soon turned upside down as Gomez made two pair in the {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Spades} flop. The {8-Spades} turn and {q-Diamonds} river gave Gomez the double up to take him to a seven-figure stack.

Double for Guerrero

Level 23 : Blinds 7,000/14,000, 14,000 ante

Mantas Zobiela opened to 30,000 from under the gun before Martin Guerrero jammed for 195,000 from the button. Zobiela called.

Guerrero was in great shape with his {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} as he was up against the {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. The {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop brought in some chop outs but the {2-Clubs}{5-Spades} runout ensured the Spaniard the pot.
