Hammann Wins a Big Battle of the Blinds
Level 41
: Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Benjamin Hammann limped in from the small blind and Valentin Imperatore checked his option in the big blind.
The K♣Q♥6♣ flop checked through to the 2♣ on the turn. Hammann proceeded to check-call a bet of 600,000 from Imperatore.
The 5♦ river saw Hammann play in flow. Imperatore sized up to 1,500,000 and Hammann went deep into the tank. Hammann chose to raise to 3,400,000 and Imperatore made a reluctant call. Hammann tabled 6♦5♥ for two pair, while Imperatore pitched his Q♣8♠ into the muck.
