Stay tuned as PokerNews provides you chip counts and the recap of the day.
The player under the gun opened to 16,000, Ludovic Palain three-bet to 52,000 from the cutoff and Eduardo Riego, in the big blind, cold four-bet jammed for 111,000. The original raiser folded and Palain called.
Eduardo Riego: K♦K♣
Ludovic Palain: Q♦Q♣
Riego was a commanding favourite and the 3♣7♦J♦ flop confirmed this. However, the Q♥ turn saw Palain jump out in front. The 3♥ river couldn't save Riego and he was sent to the rail on the stone bubble.
The 83 players that remain are now all in the money and will progress to Day 2.
