Cauchard and Murseli warmly shook hands, and a friend from the rail ran up to the stage to embrace Cauchard, as he celebrated his victory with gusto.

Mirand Murseli opened to 1,600,000 from the button with J♠J♣, and Amadou Gassama defended the big blind with 10♣9♠.

On the 9♣8♥8♠ flop, Gassama check-called in the face of a bet of 1,400,000 from Murseli.

The 10♠ hit on the turn, and Gassama checked once more. Murseli continued to fire with a bet of 3,800,000, and Gassama flat-called.

The 6♠ river completed the board.

Amadou Gassama checked for a third time, and Murseli checked back, to see he had the better two pair.

Adrien Burgniard raised to 1,700,000 from the cutoff, and Amadou Gassama defended the big blind.

The flop came A♥7♥3♦, and Gassama check-jammed to 9,900,000 in the face of a bet of 1,300,000 from Burgniard. Burgniard just covered Gassama and made the call.

Burgniard had top two pair, but he had a sweat against Gassama's flush draw.

The 9♠ turn was a brick, but the 9♥ hit on the river in cruel fashion to leave Burgniard with 950,000.

In the next hand, Burgniard moved all-in from the hijack and was called by Mirand Murseli on the button and Jeremy Cauchard in the big blind.

The J♦7♥4♦10♠4♠ runout was checked down by the active players.

Burgniard saw his 10♥2♥ for two pair, tens and fours, was no good versus Cauchard's 9♦4♥ for trip fours, while Murseli's A♠8♦ was last.
