Faubert Takes Pot on River

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Jerome Negro opened to 800 from the button, and Marie Faubert called in the small blind.

Faubert check-called a bet of 2,000 from Negro on the 1072 flop, and the same pattern followed on the 9 turn, this time in respect of a 2,500 bet from Negro.

The 4 river completed the board, and Faubert changed approach, leading out with a bet of 5,000. Negro took quite a bit of time for thought, but ultimately folded.

Ghislain D'Harcourt opened to 800 from the button, and Mike D'Inca defended the big blind.

On the 876 flop, D'Inca check-called a bet of 1,100 from D'Harcourt.

The same pattern followed on the 2 turn, this time in respect of a bet of 3,000 from D'Harcourt.

The 4 river completed the board, and D'Inca checked once more. D'Harcourt fired out a bet of 5,000, and after some thought, D'Inca called.

D'Harcourt tabled QQ for the overpair queens, but D'Inca had got there on the river with 52 for the one-card eight-high straight.

Attelly Takes Three-Bet Pot

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

A player opened to 700 under the gun, before Alexis Plumet produced a three-bet to 2,400 from the cutoff. Lucien Attelly cold-called in the small blind, and the opener got out of the way.

Attelly led out with a bet of 6,000 on the 974 flop, leading to a swift fold from Plumet.

Attelly tabled JJ as he swept in the pot.

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Thierry Laigneau opened to 400 from the button, and was met with a three-bet to 1,000 from Steve Provost in the small blind.

Alexis Tremblay was in the big blind, and he took some time for thought before reaching for chips and four-betting to 2,500. Both of his opponents took a bit of time to consider the position, but both decided they could not continue in the hand.

Tremblay tabled AQ as he raked in the pot.

Early Fireworks as Noel Busts Machabert

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Around 11,000 was in the middle on a completed board of 876Q5, in a hand between Alexis Machabert on the button and Rudy Noel in the small blind.

There was 22,000 in front of Machabert, while Noel had the all-in triangle in front of him, having put the entirety of his remaining 46,000 stack into the middle.

Machabert went into the tank, and remained deep in thought for around three to four minutes.

He ultimately made the call, only to see that his 99 for the rivered one-card nine-high straight was beaten by Noel's 109 for the flopped ten-high straight, in a brutal early cooler.
