Alveraz Doubles With Queens
Level 4
: Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Johann Greboval open-raised to 2,100 from under the gun, the button called, then Alberto Alvarez three-bet to 8,000 from the small blind. Greboval called and the button folded.
On the 6♦5♦5♣ flop, Alvarez continued his aggression with a bet of 20,000, leaving himself just 4,200 behind. Greboval raised all in and Alvarez called for his remaining chips.
Greboval had 8♦8♥ for two pair with his eights and the fives on board, but Alvarez had the best of it with Q♣Q♦ for a higher two pair.
The turn came the J♦ and river the 2♣. Alvarez held to win the pot, doubling up his stack.
