Aldea Quadruples Up
Level 47
: Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
After being left on fumes in the previous hand, Marius Aldea moved all in from the hijack for 1,900,000, just a few big blinds. Jerome Crantz called in the the cutoff, Jean-Côme Haye called in the small blind and Said Abdel Attey called in the big blind.
The flop came K♣4♠9♥ and Attey led out for 2,500,000. The rest of the table folded to leave Attey and Aldea to flip their hands.
Marius Aldea: A♥Q♥
Said Abdel Attey: K♥7♦
Attey was ahead with his pair of kings, but the A♣ turn gave Aldea a higher pair. The 5♠ river was a blank and Aldea held to win the pot, quadrupling up his short stack.
