Javier Tsunamy under the gun raised to 10,000 and was called by Bernard Guigon who defended from the big blind.
Tsunamy continued for 8,000 on the 10♣3♣A♠ flop, then fired a second barrel of 40,000 on the 3♠ turn.
Guigon, who didn't have enough to pay, went into the tank for a minute but kept his stack and folded.
Nil Esteve open-raised to 8,000 from the cutoff, the button called, then Pierre Labitte moved all in from the small blind. Esteve isolated with a shove of his own and the button folded. Two players flipped their cards, with Labitte at risk.

The flop came J♣9♥7♠ and Esteve was still ahead. He improved to a pair of aces on the A♦ turn. The 10♦ river, however, was a cruel card for Esteve, giving him two pair but also completing Labitte's straight.
Simultaneously, Labitte fist pumped the air in excitement and Esteve slammed his fist in anger. Labitte made a friendly gesture to his opponent, but Esteve shrugged and looked even more annoyed as Labitte dragged in the pot for a double up.
Antonio Ros Puchol was all in preflop with a relatively short stack from early position against Rami Awad, who had him covered from the big blind as the cards were turned on their backs.

That’s nearly 1,000 entries short of last year’s final tally, but with Day 1c and 1d still to come tomorrow, a new attendance record is well within reach.

Norberto Lopez was all in preflop for around 60,000 against Rabie Dib, who had the slightly bigger stack as the cards were turned.

Lopez was in trouble, but found everything he needed as the board ran out 9♠4♥7♠5♥J♦ to give him a set of sevens. He won the pot and doubled up his stack. Dib was left with around 13,000 chips.
Moments later, Dib shoved his short stack and was called by Lopez in the big blind. Lopez won the hand and Dib was sent to the rail.
Three-way on a flop of 8♠Q♥6♥, Moulay Driss Toujri on the button bet 7,000, Edmond Ghiulbenghian in the big blind three-bet all-in for 65,500, then Alexandre Maurel in the cutoff jammed for approximately 170,000.
Facing these two all-ins, Toujri went into the tank for almost 5 minutes. The clock was called and Toujri ultimately chose to fold what he said was ace-queen.

Hamid Sahraoui stacked off with Bastien Vial preflop. Vial had a three-bet out in the middle against Sahraoui's open-raise. Sahraoui then moved all in and Vial called with the bigger stack. Players flipped their cards, with Sahraoui at risk.

Vial had the best of it and Sahraoui needed some help if he was going to catch up. The board ran out 4♦3♠J♠7♣9♠ and Vial held with his pocket queens to win the pot. Sahraoui was eliminated and Vial chipped up to around 580,000, putting himself up there among the chip leaders.
