Action was on the flop on a board of 10♦3♥7♥ and Kevin Droz checked. Astrid Perrichot fired out a bet and Droz check-raised to 2,800, which Droz called.
The turn came the 7♦ and Droz led out for 4,700, which Perrichot called. The river was the K♠ and Droz led out for 15,000 again. Perrichot called. Perrichot showed A♣7♠ for trip sevens.
Droz's cards were scooped so quickly that it was impossible to see his hand, but in any case Perrichot scooped in a decent pot early.
Action was on the flop on a board of 4♠5♦Q♥ and Yannis Bidard checked. Astrid Perrichot bet 7,000 and Bidard called. Both players then checked it back on the 2♦ turn.
The river came the K♥ and Bidard led out for 5,500. Perrichot folded and Bidard took the pot.
Once again today, the main poker room and the tent were completely full, with over 630 players already in their seats when Matthieu Duran kicked things off with the iconic words: “Shuffle up and deal!”
The Winamax SISMIX poker festival continues today here at the Casino de Marrakech in the Es Saadi Resort with the final two starting flights providing the last opportunities to find a bag for Day 2 of the massive Main Event.
So far, the numbers have been incredible - 1,079 entries joined Day 1b to add to the 677 from Day 1a to make for a total of 1,756. That puts the tournament well on track to beat last year's record of 2,736 entries, potentially making this the biggest SISMIX in the event's history.
François "POG" Dequidt bagged with the biggest stack on Day 1b and took the overall chip lead by a long way. Dequidt, who has over 1.3 million fans on YouTube, where he showcases his supercars and shares his passion with unfiltered exuberance, bagged for 1,875,000 and is the player to beat for anyone aspiring to take the top spot today.
