Velázquez Doubles Through with a Cooler
Level 3
: Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
An early position player opened the action and the button responded with a three-bet to 2,500. Lola Velázquez, from the big blind, looked to build the pot further by raising to 6,200. Only the button matched her sizing.
The flop came 2♣10♣10♠ and Velázquez continued for 10,000. After a brief hesitation, her opponent moved all-in for just under 40,000. Velázquez quickly called.
Button: J♥J♠
Lola Velázquez: A♥A♠
Her opponent needed to spike a jack to stay alive, but neither the 3♦ turn nor the K♠ river provided any help, allowing Velázquez to collect a pot worth close to 100,000 chips.
