Day 3 Completed
Ramón Fernández had no equal. The newly appointed CNP Team Pro, a patch he debuted this year, delivered a masterclass at the final table of the CNP Winamax Main Event, held at the Casino Admiral Sevilla.
The Granada native eliminated five of his eight opponents at the final table, a clear testament to both his skill and momentum. When the cards fall your way and are paired with sharp instincts, perfect timing, and the ability to sense weakness, the result is often inevitable. Fernández combined all those elements to become the first CNP Winamax champion of the season.
With nearly $300,000 in live earnings on The Hendon Mob, Fernández is no stranger to the live poker scene. While his face is a familiar one across Spanish circuits, his biggest career score came in July 2023, when he finished 7th in a WSOP side event for just over $100,000. His journey did not begin there, but it was undoubtedly a defining moment that helped propel his career to the next level.

Today's victory represents the second-largest cash of his career, with Fernández taking home €60,000. According to the champion himself, the celebration would be simple: "I'm going to celebrate it by having a few beers with my friends."
Fernández, who always wears a gold medallion bearing a photo of his late parents, made it clear that the trophy carried deep personal meaning. "Money is money, but I've always had a thorn in my side when it comes to the clover," he said.
"I've come close many times, losing to Moro Bielsa (Adrián Chabbi) in Alicante, for example," Fernández added.
"Winning a Main Event is always very special. Everyone comes up to me and says I go deep but never finish the job. Having the chance to finally win this trophy means a lot to me", the Granada native concluded, as he heads to bed tonight with €60,000 in his pocket and an unforgettable victory to his name.
Day 3 of the €550 CNP Winamax Sevilla Main Event got underway at 12 p.m. with 47 players returning to their seats. One of the most active players early on was veteran Abraham Serrano, who began the day with around 20 big blinds but quickly found momentum. He doubled up multiple times and applied pressure on the bigger stacks at his table.
He first won a key preflop confrontation against Javier Becerril while dominating his opponent, and later, in a three-way all-in, eliminated
Giuseppe Montella. Everything seemed to be going his way until he ran into trouble in a hand where his opponent flopped a straight. Serrano, holding top pair, committed his chips and was ultimately eliminated.
Guillem Nuez was another central figure during the early stages. He won a massive coin flip against Ramón Fernández, with ace-king prevailing over queens, but from that point on, his momentum stalled. Nuez went card dead and gradually saw his stack dwindle.
The hand that sealed his fate came in a three-way all-in where his pocket nines ran into the pocket tens of Francisco Ramos. Ramos had been one of the standout performers on the featured table, but after running a costly bluff into Fernández, he was left short and eventually exited in 11th place, eliminated, fittingly, by Fernández himself.
Fernández's path to the title was far from smooth. After losing the earlier flip to Nuez, he rebounded by eliminating Javier Garcirreynaldos in back-to-back blind battles. First, the Madrid native "Tsunami" ran queens into Fernández's kings, and shortly after, fell again with a dominated ace in a similar spot.
The elimination of Álvaro Dosío in 10th place at the hands of Fernández set the stage for the final table, where the Granada native took full control. As noted earlier, he eliminated five of his eight opponents, combining relentless aggression with remarkable composure.
Although David Algarra struck first at the final table by eliminating
Eloy Córdoba, the rest of the night belonged almost entirely to Fernández.
He dispatched Gonzalo Mencia in a brutal cooler, with pocket aces crushing pocket queens. Then, with Manuel Antonio Delgado Cordero, the former chip leader, still in contention, Fernández turned up the pressure. He consistently applied aggression, used well-timed check-raises, and demonstrated exceptional situational awareness.
Fernández steadily accumulated chips through the eliminations of Algarra, Simoes, and Juan Pérez, building an overwhelming lead. Once heads-up play began, it took fewer than four hands for Fernández to close out the victory and claim the silver clover trophy.
This concludes PokerNews' live coverage of the €550 CNP Winamax Sevilla Main Event. The next stop on the tour will take place in Barcelona from April 13–19.

The final hand came quickly. On just the fourth hand of heads-up play, Manuel Antonio Delgado Cordero moved all-in for his remaining 3,300,000 chips, and Ramón Fernández made the easy call from the big blind.
Cordero: 7♦6♣
Fernández: A♥9♦
Delgado needed help from the board to stay alive and continue his fight for the silver clover trophy, but it never came. The dealer ran out 2♣2♦K♠3♣2♥, leaving Fernández's ace-high best and sealing Delgado's fate.
The former Day 2 chip leader was eliminated in second place, while Fernández completed his dominant run to become the €550 CNP Winamax Sevilla Main Event champion.

Play is currently paused while the tournament staff prepares the table for the heads-up duel between Manuel Antonio Delgado Cordero and Ramón Fernández.
Holding more than 130 big blinds, Ramón Fernández moved all-in from the button, covering both players in the blinds. The small blind folded, but Pedro Juan Pérez called off his remaining 1,700,000 chips from the big blind.
Pedro Juan Pérez: A♥4♦
Ramón Fernández: 7♦5♦
The flop came A♦9♠5♣, giving Pérez top pair and the lead. Fernández's rail immediately began calling for a five, but the 2♥ turn offered no help. However, the 5♠ river delivered exactly what Fernández needed, pairing his five and sending Pérez to the rail.
With that elimination, Fernández claimed another pot and the tournament moved into heads-up play.

Bruno David Simoes: K♣Q♠
Ramón Fernández: A♣5♣
Simoes needed to pair one of his overcards to stay alive, but the board ran out 3♠8♥2♠10♣9♥, offering no help. Fernández's ace-high held up, sending the Portuguese player to the rail in 5th place for €19,000.

Immediately following Sergei Krementsukov's elimination, David Algarra opened from early position and Ramón Fernández responded with a three-bet to 1,000,000 from the cutoff. Algarra quickly moved all-in, and Fernández made the call without hesitation.
David Algarra: Q♥Q♦
Ramón Fernández: K♥K♦
The final table witnessed its second consecutive all-in showdown. The flop came 4♦8♠7♦, leaving Algarra needing help, though even a diamond runout would not have been enough. The 4♣ turn and A♣ river failed to improve his hand, and Fernández's kings held firm.
With the pot, Fernández extended his lead and emerged as the clear chip leader.
