While Valentin Francois was discovering Jose Souvignet's past life in the army and as hostage in the 90s, Aristide Piton opened from the cutoff and Souvignet defended from the big blind.

Both players checked the 8♣7♥9♦ flop leading to the 7♠ turn where Souvignet bet 2,000. Piton quickly called.

The 2♣ completed the board and Souvignet overbet to 8,000. Piton went into the tank but folded.

Last year's champion Yoann Kaminisky joined the field to try to win the Winamax Poker Tour again. "I hope so," he joked before opening to 1,000 from middle position.

He was called a first time bu the player to his left, and by Robert Giordano and Marc Duroux in the blinds.

The dealer fanned a flop of J♣Q♥3♣ where Duroux led out for 2,000. He made everybody fold and flipped over J♥J♦ for a set.

Annoussamy continued for 700 on a flop of 7♥5♦7♣ but Besnainou check-raised to 1,500. Annoussamy quickly called.

After Besnainou checked the 10♦ turn, Annoussamy bet 3,000 and quickly made Besnainou fold.

Julien Gadanho in the cutoff went into the tank and raised to 7,000. He was called and flipped over K♥Q♣ for two pair.

His opponent revealed that he had Q♥2♠ for a lower two pair. "Unlucky," Gadanho said while scooping the pot.

After an open to 500 by the player under the gun, Sebastien Seguin to his left called but his neighbor raised to 2,200. The cutoff called, as well as the under-the-gun player and Seguin.

All four of them checked a flop of 4♠2♥3♠ leading to the K♠ turn that the under-the-gun player checked. Seguin led out for 4,100, but the player to his left raised to 12,000. The other two players folded and Seguin called after a long moment.

The 3♣ river completed the board and Seguin bet a very small 300. He was called and scooped the pot with 2♣2♠ for a full house.
