It took some time to determine who would make the final table of the 2026 Winamax Poker Tour Grande Finale. But after Day 3 at the Pasino Grand Partouche Aix-en-Provence, the names of the nine finalists are now known!
They are the ultimate survivors of a record-breaking field of 3,610 entries, which generated a total prize pool of €1,524,864, with €180,000 and the coveted WiPT sword awaiting the winner.
At the final break of the day, with 14 players remaining, Sacha Cohen held one of the top three stacks, but within striking distance of the others. But from 18,000,000, he went on an incredible 20-minute heater, more than doubling his stack to reach 50,400,000.
“This game is insane,” he said, still processing what had just happened. “I started the day with 19 big blinds and tripled my stack in three hours. Then I maintained it all day long until the last three pots that propelled me,” he explained.
During that stretch, he eliminated Lilian Azalbert (12th – €11,350), Loïc Sa (11th – €14,327), and Dylan Baborier (10th – €14,327) one after the other to claim the chip lead before the final table.
“I’m very grateful to be here,” he added. “It’s the best deep run I’ve had since I bubbled the final table of SISMIX in 2024. And I need to bring a sword home.”
Perhaps that sword could join the family trophy cabinet, as his father, Claude Cohen, already owns a 1997 WSOP bracelet and won a tournament in Marrakech earlier this week.

Cohen, however, isn’t the only one eyeing the sword, with second-in-chips Samuel Fournier (29,300,000) and Quentin Pauly (28,500,000) also hoping to claim the title.
Pauly, for instance, won a huge pot with ace-king against kings to build his stack, while Fournier spent most of the day among the chip leaders thanks to “lucky flops.” Lucien Cervettaz (19,900,000), who doubled through him during the final hands of the day, was one of the few bumps in his path. Still, he was “happy to be in the final” after “a year and a half without any big cash.”
A similar feeling of joy was shared by Bertrand Vizioz (13,600,000) and Nicolas Antouard, who aimed “to reach the final table.” Despite a “rollercoaster day,” he bagged 11,700,000, fueled by a feeling that he “couldn’t bust.”
Winner of the €750 Battle Royale earlier this week for €25,300, Hervé Gouzil could achieve the remarkable feat of winning a second title this week in the Main Event. With 11,600,000 chips, he will return with 17 big blinds, more than he could have hoped for.
“I was walking a tightrope today,” he said. “I was really card-dead, but I took the right spots at the right time. And the only time I had a premium hand with jacks, I ran into aces.”
Among those good spots, he eliminated the last remaining Winamax Team Pro, Bruno Lopes, with king-queen improving to two pair against ace-ten. Former Team Pro Florian Decamps (29th – €3,550) was also eliminated today, his queens falling to Guillaume Anthonioz’s ace-king, which found an ace on the river.
Thanks to that pot and many others, Anthonioz, the submarine sailor, secured a seat at tomorrow’s final table, but as the shortest stack with 6,200,000.
Second-to-last, but not least, Samuel Bifarella began the day as one of the chip leaders with 9,400,000 and will start the final table with... 9,300,000, despite holding the lead for much of the day. “I can’t be unhappy, but the end of the day was a bit tougher than the start. Still, almost 10 million is very good,” said the soon-to-be father.
Play will resume this Monday, March 30, at 1 p.m. local time with blinds of 300,000/700,000 and a 700,000 big blind ante to determine the winner of the WiPT Grande Finale.
All nine finalists have already secured €18,000, but will be aiming to add an extra zero to that prize.
