Aces Against Kings to Start the Day

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Alexandre Viatte was pretty happy about his start after he scored the first elimination of the day.

He explained that after an open by Alain Doucet under the gun, he three-bet with AxAx. Alexandre Rity in the big blind four-bet to 5,000 and was called by the initial raiser but Viatte re-raised to 14,000. He was called twice.

On Jx8x3x he continued to 10,000 and was called by Rity, who called again with kings when Viatte jammed on the 3x turn. The river changed nothing and Rity was eliminated.

1,000 entries at the start of the day, with the total expected to double and reach 4,000 entries: that’s the promise of today’s Day 1f, the sixth of seven starting flights of the €500 Winamax Poker Tour Grande Finale at the Pasino Grand Partouche Aix-en-Provence.

Across the first five starting flights, a total of 1,753 entries have been recorded, with 946 runners in yesterday’s Day 1d alone. From this field, 157 players made it through the money last night and qualified for Day 2, led by Thibaut Garcia, who is currently the only player to have surpassed the one-million chip mark and holds the overall chip lead.

Amin Benfalami (982,000), Tristan Berrod (877,000), and Winamax Team Pro Bruno Lopes (873,000) also secured sizable stacks, while Titas Gancierius topped Day 1e Turbo with 856,000 chips.
