Just a few minutes after dinner break, Samuel Bifarella went from 5,000,000 to 10,450,000 in just a few hands.
He first eliminated Julien Belotti with AxQx against Ax9x for 860,000 chips. Two hands later, he opened from early position. David Girard to his left moved all-in for 1,365,000, then Guy Giovacchini on the button jammed for 2,605,000. Bifarella didn't wait to call with aces.
David Girard: A♦10♦
Guy Giovacchini: Q♠Q♣
Samuel Bifarella: A♠A♣
Giovacchini found a flush draw on the turn, but on J♥8♦7♥6♦K♥, he was eliminated just like Giovacchini. Thanks to this double elimination, Bifarella is now the overall chip leader.
A few minutes later, second-in-chips Gabin Massard took his seat to his left. Both players now hold close to 18,000,000, roughly ten times the average stack.
Quentin Coursimault under the gun jammed for 1,255,000. The rest of the table folded to Florian Decamps in the big blind who snap-called off his last 810,000.
