Kessler Folds River

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Allen Kessler raised to 2,000 from middle position and found a call from the player in the cutoff. The button and blinds folded, leaving the two heads up to the flop.

The dealer fanned {10-Spades}{Q-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Kessler continued for 2,000. His opponent quickly called, allowing the {4-Hearts} to drop on the turn. Both players checked this street and saw the {k-Spades} on the river. Kessler checked again and his opponent bet 5,000. Kessler thought for the better part of 30 seconds before releasing his hand into the muck. Despite this hit, Kessler is still sitting on a healthy stack of 49,000.

Massey Doubles

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

The under-the-gun player limped and the next player made it 1,600 to go. Action folded to Aaron Massey on the button who three-bet to 3,625. The original limper flatted only to have the original raiser four-bet to 11,000. Massey moved all in over the top for 23,000 total, the limper folded, and the raiser called.

Massey tabled {K-}{k-} and was at risk against his opponent's {A-}{Q-}. The board ran out {A-}{q-}{J-}{5-}{10-}, giving Massey a roller coaster ride of a double. His straight to the ace allowed him to take down the pot and bring his stack to 52,000.

Broadway For Saul

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

We arrived as the money went in on a board of {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} to see a player all in and at risk for his last 26,825 against Kevin Saul.

Saul turned over {A-Spades}{10-Hearts} for a Broadway straight and was crushing his opponent's {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for the dummy end. The {J-Diamonds} finished off the board and Saul scored the elimination and added a sizable amount of chips to his stack. He now sits around 84,000 in chips.

Cloutier Left Short

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

The flop read {3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts} when we found TJ Cloutier and an opponent engaged in the hand. Cloutier's opponent was first to act and fired out a bet of 2,000. Cloutier came over the top for 6,000 total and his opponent called.

The {J-Clubs} touched the felt on the turn and action checked to Cloutier. He instantly fired 13,000 past the betting line. Cloutier's opponent announced a check-raise all in, putting Cloutier at risk for his last 6,600. Cloutier thought for about 30 seconds before dropping his cards into the muck.

One For Engel

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Ari Engel made it 1,100 to go from middle position and found calls from the player in the hijack and the player in the small blind. The trio took a flop of {5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and all three players checked their option.

Fourth street was the {10-Clubs} and all three players checked for a second time. The {j-Diamonds} completed the board and the small blind checked once more. Engel dropped 3,000 past the betting line and the hijack immediately called. The small blind folded and Engel tabled {A-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for a pair of jacks. His opponent flashed {K-Spades}{J-Clubs} for a worse kicker before tossing her hand into the muck. Engel picked up the pot and now has about 49,000 in chips.
