Jeff Gibraltar Eliminated in 12th Place ($30,000)

Level 27 : 25,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Jeff Gibraltar had one live cash on record coming into this event. That was from a fourth-place finish in the World Series of Poker Circuit Choctaw $1,600 Main Event in 2011 for $78,828. He just added his second live result here with a 12th-place finish in this event worth $30,000.

Play folded to Gibraltar on the button, and he raised all in for 600,000 even. Jose Monte made the call from the small blind, and Jake Haller got out of the way in the big blind.

Gibraltar had the {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, and Montes had the {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}.

The flop was {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} to keep Gibraltar in the lead, but the {K-Hearts} hit the turn and gave Montes the best hand. The river was the {2-Spades}, and Montes won the pot to eliminate Gibraltar.

Olivier Busquet Eliminated in 13th Place ($20,000)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Olivier Busquet - 13th Place
Olivier Busquet - 13th Place

After Andy Andrejevic opened to 100,000 from the under-the-gun position, play folded over to Olivier Busquet in the cutoff seat. He reraised and made it 275,000 to go. Play then slid over to Barry Hutter in the big blind, and he went into the tank. After a minute or so, Hutter stuck in a reraise of his own to 610,000. Andrejevic folded, and then Busquet moved all in for just over 1.4 million. Hutter called.

Busquet was in a powerful position to double up with his {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} against Hutter's {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}. But, the {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop had other things in mind when it put Hutter in the lead with a set of jacks. Still, Busquet could improve to a higher set or a straight, as he flopped an open-ended straight draw.

The turn was the {10-Hearts} to fill up Hutter, which meant Busquet's outs to a straight were taken away. The river was the {Q-Clubs}, and Hutter won the pot with jacks full of queens.

Busquet was eliminated in 13th place for $20,000, and Hutter increased his stack to 4.45 million.

From under the gun, Barry Hutter raised to 90,000. Andy Andrejevic called in the next seat, and then Matt Lapossie called from the cutoff seat. All others folded, and the flop came out {Q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. Action checked around, and the turn was the {8-Hearts}. Again, action checked around.

The river was the {A-Clubs}, and Hutter checked. Andrejevic bet 185,000, Lapossie folded, and Hutter called.

Andrejevic showed the {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}, and Hutter mucked his hand.

Skinner Gets Paid Off With Quads

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Jose Montes shoved all in on the river heads up with Joseph Skinner who immediately called because he had four queens.

"You had all of them?" said Montes, "you had the hand I was trying to represent."

"That's what I thought you had," another player chimed in and everyone laughed. Skinner took down a huge pot and brought Montes back into the crowd, evening out their stacks.

Oklahoma City, OK's Christopher Staats just went out in 16th place, and he fell at the hands of Olivier Busquet.

For Staats, who took home $15,000, this finish marked the fifth biggest of his career and pushed him over $200,000 in lifetime live tournament earnings.

Toby Floyd Eliminated in 17th Place ($15,000)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

From under the gun plus one, Jose Montes raised to 80,000. Toby Floyd called on the button, and Lonny Hardcastle called from the big blind.

On the {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop, all three players checked to see the {10-Hearts} land on the turn. There, Hardcastle checked, and Montes bet 130,000. Floyd raised to 280,000, and Hardcastle folded. Montes reraised all in, and Floyd called to put himself at risk for right around 800,000 total.

Floyd turned over the {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for top pair, top kicker, but he was behind the {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} that Montes held for a flopped two pair.

The river was the {J-Clubs}, and Floyd was eliminated in 17th place. Floyd, who hails from Stephenville, TX, scored $15,000 for his finish for the second biggest result of his career.
