Martin Pays Off Kalas

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Zach Martin checked from the big blind on a board of {4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. Kane Kalas thought over a minute and then announced a bet of 37,000, nearly all of Martin's stack. Martin opted to call, and Kalas showed {k-Hearts}{9-Spades} for top pair. Martin couldn't beat it. After the hand, he said he couldn't get away from his eights.

Hale Eliminates Wang

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Mike Wang
Mike Wang

Mike Wang shipped in from the cutoff for around 85,000, and Brant Hale jammed in the small blind to chase away the big blind.

Wang: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Hale: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Hale had a big lead with jacks, and a {7-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}{q-Spades} board enabled him to dodge danger in the form of a six-outer on the turn.

"I'll Give You $20 to Show a Bluff."

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Adrian Buckley
Adrian Buckley

We found Adrian Buckley and Kane Kalas heads-up on a board of {J-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}. Buckley checked the turn, Kalas bet 41,000 and Buckley called. The river came {7-Clubs}, Buckley checked and Kalas moved all in for 94,000.

Buckley went deep into the tank, he thought out loud, "What are you repping here? You don't have aces or kings...." He trailed off but then said, "This is where I don't care about the bubble."

Kalas didn't react, Buckley took some more time and finally pushed his cards towards the dealer. "I'll give you $20 if you show a bluff," Buckley said.

Kalas looked at him as if he antennae grew out of his head and confirmed that Buckley offered him $20 for a bluff. "The price isn't going up," Buckley added.

Kalas did take Buckley up on the offer and pushed his cards to the dealer.

Down to Four Tables *****Updated******

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

There were a couple more eliminations and the field is down the final four tables. Tournament organizers stated they'd play to 10% of the field remaining (24 players) but do have some discretion to end early. Level 18 began started with dozen players off that mark and with around 40 minutes before 2 am, it looks likely that the field may bag after the level is over.

********UPDATE*********

The field will play down to 24 players as the structure submitting to Gaming did not have the 2 am caveat.

Dejuante Alexander KOs Adam Krach

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The action occurred while we were away from the table but there was an all in showdown between Dejuante Alexander and Adam Krach. Alexander called off holding Ax Tx and was outkicked by Krach's Ax Qx. The river ran Alexander's way and made Broadway to send Krach to the rail.
