Zo Karim on the Feature Stage

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Zo Karim
Zo Karim

Zo Karim moved to the Table 1 on the stage and under the lights not too long ago. We caught up with him with a pair of hands - the first, we saw the player in Seat 5 open to 5,000 and Karim three-bet to 12,300 on the button. The blinds released, his opponent called and the flop fell {J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Both players checked, the turn was {10-Clubs}, they checked again and the river came {Q-Hearts}.

With a queen-high straight on the board, Karim bet 14,500 and his opponent mucked {10-}{7-} face up. Karim showed pocket fives for the bluff.

On the next hand Karim opened for 5,000, the player to his left called and the flop came {K-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. Karim led out for 5,300, his opponent mucked and he stacked the pot.

Khan Blasting Big

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

In a big pot of over 60,000, we found Mo Khan shoving all in from middle position on a completed board of {7-Spades}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. His opponent who had checked in the big blind tanked a couple of minutes and folded to preserve his last 44,000, and Khan flicked {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} into the middle.

Chino Rheem Talks Himself Out of the Tournament

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem

Chino Rheem was well above the average stack with a six-figure count and then we saw an empty seat. His tablemates were kind enough to play the hand back. Mo Khan opened in early position, Rheem three-bet on the button and the flop came {J-}{J-}{10-} with two spades. Khan check-called a bet, the turn came {K-Clubs} - putting two clubs on the board.

Rheem bet 15,000, Khan shoved and Rheem went into the tank. He talked to himself, talked to his tablemates, talked to anyone that would listen. He eventually talked himself into calling holding pocket sevens and Khan held {J-}{9-} for trips. The river came {A-} and Rheem was eliminated.

Grubaugh Doubles

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Maria Ho opened for a raise to 3,700 from the sound of things, getting two calls from middle-position players before Collin Grubaugh reraised to 13,800 on the button. Ho folded, but a caller shoved all in. Grubaugh thought a bit.

"Were you trapping this pretty lady over here?" he asked.

"I was trying to," Grubaugh's opponent replied.

Grubaugh decided to call it off with {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and was happy to see his opponent show {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

"Didn't think you were that strong," the middle player lamented.

A board of {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} left Grubaugh not even needing to sweat the river.

At another table, Kevin Eyster busted out.
