There are currently 150 players seated for Day 1a of the WinStar River Poker Series Main Event. Some of the more notable players ended up sitting at the same table.
Chris Moneymaker was one of the first to sit and since then, Aaron Massey, Andy Philachack and Bryan Campanello have been seated. Leading them all is Matthew Lapossie with over 70,000 chips and $835,878 in career live tournament earnings. Campanello has just over $850,000.
Philachack is between the group with $2.4 million in earnings and Moneymaker ($3.6 million) and Massey ($3.2 million) are the biggest earners at the table.
Alex Greenblatt and Aaron Massey both just won pots. Massey won the bigger of the two pots with a set over set to eliminate his opponent and break 40,000.
Greenblatt was heads up with the board reading and he bet 2,000 on the button. His opponent called. The turn was the and the action was checked to Greenblatt again. He went all in for 8,700 and his opponent folded. Greenblatt now sits a little under 20,000.
Greenblatt is just coming off a tenth place finish at the WPT Legends of Poker Main Event where he took home $31,510.

They join a field of 145 players who have entered so far. Registration is open until the start of level ten, so the Day 1 field should end somewhere closer to 200 players.
