A player went all in for about 15,000 and Chris Staats called. Brian Gordon went all in over the top and Staats eventually called while the floor counted off five seconds before his hand would be mucked.
Staats showed against the of Gordon and the of the short stack.
The flop came jack high, but gave the short stack an open ended straight draw. The turn brought two hearts on the board, giving Staats even fewer outs, drawing to only one seven now.
The river was a blank and Gordon earned the double elimination.

Aaron Mermelstein has cracked 300,000 after picking up pocket aces against two all in players. One of the players at the table said Mermelstein was last to act and had aces after two players shoved. The first had pocket tens and the second, pocket kings.
Mermelstein has put in at least a few reentries so far, but has finally found his stride and managed to build the big stack he was looking for.

There is a lot of table talk at former Main Event Chris Moneymaker's table. With just 85 left some of the other tables might have quieted down, but the champ has done the opposite and it seems to be paying off.
He has added about 80,000 to his stack over the last level and made some friends in the process.
Through the jovial mood of the table, people are still playing poker. Cynthia Keller three-bet to 25,000 and Les Meeks shoved all in for 24,000 more. Keller called with jacks, but was behind Meeks' aces.
Keller couldn't catch up and Meeks earned the double.
At a nearby table, Johanssy Joseph flopped an ace in a flip against a player holding pocket tens. Joseph has about 230,000.
Richard Cygum is another big stack emerging late in play tonight. He has just under 300,000.
