Minkin Loses Half Her Stack

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Kelly Minkin raised it up to 8,000 and the player on her left shoved all in for 43,100. The action folded back to Minkin who slid enough chips to make the call.

Kelly Minkin: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Minkin held two live cards heading to the flop which fell {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}. She picked up a flush draw to add to her outs but the {2-Clubs} on the turn and the {j-Hearts} on the river bricked off, sending half of her stack to her left.

Banghart Eliminates Bond

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Matt Bond had 9,000 in front of him in early position and was facing a raise to 33,500 from small blind Jeff Banghart. From the sound of things after the hand, it sounded like Jim Carroll had also entered the pot from under the gun but folded. Bond called and the flop came {4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

Banghart jammed and Bond went into the tank. He counted down his stack of about 71,500.

"I'll show you if you fold," Banghart offered.

Bond thought about 15 more seconds and then called, showing {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Banghart had him crushed with {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} and the {k-Hearts} and {6-Diamonds} were no help to Bond. He wished everyone good luck and headed out.

Pham Gives Up Against Garza

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
David "The Dragon" Pham
David "The Dragon" Pham

David Pham opened to 7,500 from under the gun and Lou Garza called on the button along with the small blind. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and the small blind checked to Pham who continued for 11,500. Garza called and the small blind got out of the way.

The turn brought the {4-Hearts} and Pham checked this time. Garza tossed in a bet of 12,500 but Pham wanted to see a river. The {3-Hearts} landed on the river and Pham checked again. Garza made another small bet of 16,500 and Pham thought for a couple moments before giving up his hand.

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Easley Gets Lucky, Busts Rettenmaier

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

On a flop of {4-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, Marvin Rettenmaier checked from the big blind and Seneca Easley bet 9,000 in middle position. Rettenmaier shoved for about 38,000 and Easley quickly called with {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a massive draw.

It wasn't as massive as he hoped though, because "Mad" Marvin had {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. The {5-Clubs} turn paired Easley though, and Rettenmaier bricked on the {10-Clubs} river.

Green Sends Another One Packing

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Brian Green
Brian Green

Damon Wedel opened to 5,500 from the hijack and Brian Green re-raised to 15,500 in the cutoff. The big blind stuck in the last of his 15,000 chips after taking a brutal beat the hand before and Wedel got out of the way.

Brian Green: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Big Blind: {7-Hearts}{6-Spades}

On a flop of {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Green had his opponent already drawing dead by flopping a set of jacks. The {4-Hearts} on the turn and the {3-Diamonds} on the river were insignificant as Green dragged in another pot.
