Comroe Down to Crumbs

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Mykel Comroe opened to 150,000 in the cutoff and Will Pengelly three-bet jammed all in for 790,000 on the button. The action folded back to Comroe who quickly made the call.

Will Pengelly: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Mykel Comroe: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Pengelly was still ahead with his pocket fours. Both he and his rail starting cheering for his small pocket pair to "Hold" going forward. The turn was the {6-Hearts} and the river brought the {5-Hearts} as Pengelly's pair of fours did indeed hold on for the win.

Banghart Picks Off Bozkurt

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Jeff Banghart checked from the big blind and called 140,000 from Ekrem Bozkurt in early position on {4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}. On the {a-Spades} river, Banghart checked and Bozkurt bet 375,000.

"Bluffed on the ace and got there, huh?" Banghart said.

He flicked in a chip after a few moments and Bozkurt shook his head and showed {k-}{q-}. Banghart took it down with {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}.

Matthew Bray raised to 110,000 and was called by Will Pengelly in the big blind. The flop fell {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Pengelly check-called a bet of 125,000 from Bray.

The turn was the {k-Diamonds} and Pengelly checked again. Bray pushed in a bet of 250,000 and Pengelly stuck around to see the {q-Hearts} on the river. Pengelly checked for the third time and Bray checked back, tabling {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Pengelly mucked {a-}{j-} in frustration as Bray hit a pair of queens on the river to take the pot.
