Copp remarked that he had already been beaten by kings once before. The flop came to keep the situation unchanged. The turn fell , meaning that the two players had traded each others' outs. The river then fell to give Liu Broadway, leaving Copp with a taste of deja vu as he was sent to the rail in 21st place.

Eric Bunch raised to 75,000 from early position, and Katherine Offutt called in the hijack. Spencer Champlin three-bet to 260,000 from the cutoff, and only Offutt called.

Offutt checked the flop to Champlin, who bet 150,000. Offutt instantly called.

Both players checked the turn, and Offutt checked the river. Champlin jammed for 550,000, and Offutt snap-called. Champlin turned over for kings-full, and Offutt showed her had rivered a worse full house, costing her a huge chunk of her stack.

Hesam Alagha opened to 38,000 from early position and saw action fold around to Will Pengelly, who three-bet to 90,000 from the small blind. Alaghathought for about a minute before Pengelly opened his mouth, telling Alaghathat he should either fold or shove; that calling was not an option. Alaghacalled.

The flop came and Pengelly shoved all in for what was counted to be 295,000 into a pot of 212,000. Alaghathought again for about 30 seconds and verbalized a call.

Alaghahad found his pair of aces firmly ahead of Pengelly's king-jack, needing to fade Pengelly's four Broadway outs or some running combination of kings and/or jacks. The turn came to give Pengelly a few more outs, but the river fell and he found his hopes of repeating shattered just like that.

He made sure not to leave without remark, giving his best Phill Hellmuth as he left the table in frustration: "He called me with ace-two, honey!"
