Zajmovic Sends One to the Rail

Level 20 : 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante
Ema Zajmovic
Ema Zajmovic

We got to the table as Ema Zajmovic tabled her hand after calling an all-in worth 4,160,000.

Zajmovic tabled {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, up against her opponent's {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Zajmovic remained ahead, but her opponent picked up an opportunity to chop. The turn, however, was the {10-Diamonds} and Zajmovic rapped the table and wished her opponent well as she left him drawing dead to the {a-Hearts} on the river.

Zajmovic was the first female to win a World Poker Tour title earlier this year right here at Playground and looks to clinch yet another title to cap off the summer.

Lovely Turn for Lavallee

Level 20 : 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante

In a blind-vs-blind hand, with about 1,600,000 in the pot, Chanracy Khun led for 700,000 from the small blind. Jason Lavallee was in the big blind and called.

The turn was the {q-Spades} and Khun thought for a while before opting to check. Lavallee checked back.

The river was the {4-Diamonds} and both players checked. Khun tabled {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a pair of eights, but Lavallee tabled {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a pair of queens after flopping a flush draw and turning a pair.

Both players have chipped up significantly since starting the day.

Ill-Timed Four-Bet By Lavallee

Level 20 : 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante
Jason Lavallee
Jason Lavallee

Jason Lavallee opened to 525,000 on the button and Kevin Schulz three-bet from the big blind, making it 1,700,000. Lavallee thought for a moment before four-bet shoving. Schulz snap-called.

Lavallee: {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Schulz: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

Lavallee did pick up some outs on the {10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop. The {2-Spades} on the turn quickly squashed most of those outs and the {9-Hearts} sealed Lavallee's fate on the river.
