Jessie Wheatley Wins a Flip

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Jessie Wheatley raised to 30,000 from under the gun and action folded around to Chris Martin on the button. He put in a three-bet to 96,000 and Tomislav Radisic was next to act from the big blind. After a moment of thought, he decided to four-bet to 300,000.

Wheatley went into the tank and eventually called for less, for a total of 276,000. Martin thought about it but eventually folded. Wheatley tabled {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}, flipping against Radisic's {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. "I had ace-king too" declared Martin.

The flop came {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Wheatley took the lead with trip kings. The turn was the {2-Hearts} and the river was the {J-Diamonds} to give Wheatley more than a double up.
