Vijayaratnam Off to a Good Start

Level 1 : 150/300, 300 ante
Senthuran Vijayaratnam
Senthuran Vijayaratnam

For the second day in a row, Senthuran Vijayaratnam has given himself an early boost in the chip counts.

On the river of a {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} board, Vijayaratnam faced a bet of 11,500 from his heads-up opponent. Vijayaratnam quickly called and his opponent tabled {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} for just ace-high. Vijayaratnam turned over {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} and his pair of fives was good.

Vijayaratnam was the chipleader on Day 1b by the time the second break rolled around but did not bag chips at the end of the night.

Levy Re-Pops Pre

Level 1 : 150/300, 300 ante

Michael Levy opened from middle-position to 1,000 and the player in the cutoff three-bet to 2,500. Action folded back around to Levy and his opponent began an awkward stare directed towards Levy.

Not fazed by his opponent, Levy four-bet to 10,000 and his opponent broke the stare to make the call. The flop was {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and the stare continued. Levy tossed out a continuation bet of 8,000 and his opponent eventually folded.

Demers Takes Levesque to Valuetown

Level 2 : 200/400, 400 ante

With about 30,000 already in the pot on the turn of a {10-Spades}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds} board, Eric Levesque bet 15,000 and Maxime Demers made the call.

The {j-Spades} completed the board on the river and Levesque checked. Demers thought for a moment before making a bet of 16,000. Levesque, visually frustrated took some time and eventually called.

Demers tabled {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for a rivered full house and Levesque slammed his cards down, firing them into the muck.
