Francois Billard Taking a Shot

Level 4 : 300/600, 600 ante
Francois Billard
Francois Billard

Francois Billard has had a decent summer and is looking to do some damage on home soil. The Canadian just came back from Barcelona after coming in 2nd place in the €10,300 No Limit Hold'em 8-Max event for €253,600. He battled with the likes of Ivan Luca, David Peters, Martin Jacobson and Liv Boeree on the final table, eventually falling to Goran Mandic heads-up.

Billard just booked a min-cash in the $5,300 High Roller here at Playground last week and looks to book a win in his home country.

Siebert Slides His Stack Over to Montgomery

Level 3 : 250/500, 500 ante
Scott Montgomery
Scott Montgomery

Scott Montgomery raised to 1,000 from under the gun and got a call from Lance Perkins in the cutoff. Sylvain Siebert was on the button and three-bet to 5,000. Both Montgomery and Perkins called.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{4-Spades} and all three players checked to the {3-Clubs} on the turn and then the {5-Diamonds} on the river. Montgomery reached into his stack and fired out a bet worth 12,000. Perkins called but Siebert decided to rip his entire stack in the middle, putting Montgomery to the test for his stack worth 94,725. Montgomery looked confused, but clearly had a tough decision. Eventually, he called. Perkins folded.

Siebert tabled {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for just a pair of tens, and Montgomery tabled {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for a straight to scoop the double.

Veloso Must've Known it Was Coming

Level 3 : 250/500, 500 ante

Scott Montgomery raised to 1,000 from early position and David Veloso defended his big blind.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Veloso led out for 2,100. Montgomery called. The turn was the {9-Clubs} and both players checked.

The river was the {6-Clubs} and Veloso bet 4,200. Montgomery called and Veloso tabled {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for two pair nines and sixes.

Veloso hit a pair on the turn and improved on the river. He must've known it was coming!

Early Four-Bet From Avila

Level 2 : 200/400, 400 ante

We got to the table with pre-flop action taking place and Chanracy Khun had three-bet to 4,700 out of the small blind. Joseph Avila was in the hijack and appeared to be the original raiser. He decided to put in a four-bet to 11,500 and Khun thought for about a minute before deciding to call.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Khun checked. Avila continued with his story and bet 16,500. Khun wasted no time and released his hand, sending an early pot to Avila.
