Boujaoude is Climbing the Ranks

Level 6 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With about 9,000 in the pot, on a board reading {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{10-Spades}, Alexander James Allison checked from under the gun, as did Andrew Boujaoude from late position and Francois Allard on the button.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and Allison led out for 3,500. Boujaoude raised to 11,000 and Allard folded. Allison thought for about a minute and released his hand.

Boujaoude raked in the pot, adding to his growing top-three stack.

Top Set Holds for Abdulla on a Wet Board

Level 7 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Riyaz Abdulla raised to 2,400 from middle position and got calls from Paolo Tana Chirico in the hijack, Nikolas Chinell in the small blind and Roger Lamia in the big blind.

The flop came {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Spades} and action checked to Abdulla who bet 3,800. The hijack and Chinell folded while Lamia called.

The turn was the {j-Hearts} and both players checked to the {k-Hearts} on the river. Both players checked again and Abdulla tabled {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} for top set. Lamia mucked.

Patrick Braga Hunting for Another Win

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Veloso Flops the Stones and Gets Paid

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

On a board reading {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, Francois Parrott and David Veloso got into a raising war and managed to get all of their chips in the middle. Parrott was in the big blind and Veloso was in the cutoff.

Veloso was the player at risk but he flopped the nuts with {j-Spades}{10-Spades}. Parrott only had bottom pair with {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a pair of eights.

The turn was the {3-Hearts} and Parrott picked up a flush draw, but the river was the {j-Diamonds} and Veloso held on to double.
