The Money Bubble Looms on Day 3 of PlayGround1000 $1M Guaranteed

Day 3 of the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em partypoker Playground1000 $1,000,000 Guaranteed event is on the horizon in a couple of hours.

Leading the way on this penultimate day is Carlos Gerones with 2,304,000 chips, notably the only player to cross the two million-chip mark. Close behind him is David Guay (1,950,000) with Matthew Wilkins (1,681,000), Fakher Alizai (1,586,000) and Kevin Rivest (1,483,000) rounding out the top five stacks. These five players sit at the top of just 133 remaining runners of the 867 entries in total across five starting flights and Day 2 entries.

The top 100 players will find themselves in the money, guaranteed a min-cash worth $2,000. First place is paying $200,000 along with the title and trophy, which is what everyone is really gunning for. With just 33 players to go before the money bubble hits, play is sure to tighten up but it should burst relatively early in the day.

Some of the more notable stacks today include partypoker Team Pros Kristen Bicknell (301,000) and Natalia Breviglieri (500,000), WSOP Main Event Champions Jonathan Duhamel (1,135,000) and Ryan Riess (409,000), Joe Tehan (1,366,000), and Sam Chartier (562,000).

Players will duke it out for another eight levels and will have 15-minute breaks every two hours, including a 45-minute dinner break after the sixth level of the day.

PokerNews will be on site throughout the day again so stay dialed in!
