Tournament Leaderboard Update

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

Charles La Boissonniere is off to a quick start with 65,000 chips. He is currently first on the Playground Poker World Cup of Cards leaderboard.

Here is a quick look at the top five on the leaderboard.

NameLeaderboard Points
Charles La Boissonniere1,350.70
Jason Conforti1,220.80
Joey Boczek1,200.90
Daniel Le929.1
Carrie Webster921.6

Behind La Boissonniere are Jason Conforti and Joey Boczek. All three players are in the field today. Conforti just sat down and is sitting with the starting stack and Boczek, who was here at the start is just above the starting stack with 32,000.

They are playing for a Leaderboard package worth $8,000 and Boczek has been hear many times declaring he would win. La Boissonniere has a solid lead, and unless Conforti or Boczek make a deep run in the upcoming events, La Boissonniere may already have a big enough lead to stay ahead just by entering the remaining tournaments.

Carrie Webster and Daniel Le have don't have enough available points to take the lead, so it's pretty much a three-person race.

World Cup of Cards

Welcome to Day 1b of the CPPT $1,650 No-Limit Hold em tournament. The World Cup of Cards at Playground Poker Club welcomes its fourth poker tour host. The Card Player Poker Tour and a three day event with a $400,000 Guarantee. Just like yesterday's flight, the tournament field will play 14 45-minute levels. Thirty two players bagged last night and Jean Sebastien Dubois was the leader with 439,000.

The tournament is the second largest starting flight buy-in of the WCC tournament series. There have been multiple satellites and several of the Playground Poker Club regulars are expected to be in the field. The CPPT also offers a chance for some of the tournament leaderboard chasers to gain some ground on Charles La Boissonniere who leads Jason Conforti and Joey Boczek for the $8,000 Carribean Poker Party Package. Conforti and La Boissonniere both played Day 1a and Boczek is expected in the field today as well. It should be a tight race as the series draws to a close.

This is event #24 of the World Cup of Cards. The WCC is a month-long tournament festival entering its final week.
