The penultimate day of Event #24: $1,650 Card Player Poker Tour World Cup of Cards kicks off at noon today inside Playground Poker Club. Of the 359 total entries, just 91 would survive their Day 1 flights to qualify for Day 2.
On the slate today, are nine 60-minute levels. Day 1b chip leader Sofiane Boulila will carry the overall lead into Day 2. Boulila bagged 494,500 to claim the top spot. Day 1a chip leader Jean Sebastien Dubois, will start the day not too far behind with 439,000. The two leaders are far ahead of their closest competitor. The next largest stack is that of Samuel Barre, sitting with 301,000.
A few notables in the field today include WPT National Montreal runner-up Jeffrey Cormier, Carter Swidler, Benoit Jean, Laurence Grondin, Samuel Chartier, and Ruben Perceval.
