125 Players so Far in Event #5

Event #5 has 125 entrants so far. There are many familiar faces in the field since this is the only No Limit Hold em event starting today. Later this evening there is a Pot-Limit Omaha Eight or Better tournament, that starts at 7 p.m.

Going to Break, 28 Left

Ken Marceau just won a huge pot and took the chip lead in Event #5 just before the break.

He flopped a set of nines and doubled up his already big stack. He is now sitting at close to 300,000 heading into 3,000/6,000 with a 500 ante.

There are 28 players left and 15 will make the money and win a min cash of at least CAD $250.

Final 11 Chip Counts on the Break; Richer Busts Final Hand (full)

Jessica Richer had all about a couple chips in the pot positioned in the big blind. Andre Pelletier had opened under-the-gun, when action folded back around to Richer the rest of her chips went in.

Richer: {a-Spades}{6-Spades}
Pelletier: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

Richer was unable to hit the board and was eliminated in 12th place for $240.

The remaining 11 players are now headed on a 15-minute break. The final table will begin with 10 players.
