The Player's Poker Championship or PPC Poker Tour is in town and hosting Event #18 of the World Cup of Cards (WCC) at Playground Poker Club. This is the PPC's first visit to Playground Poker and they are joining together as part of the Playground' massive tournament series.
The PPC is a $300 buy in with a $30,000 guarantee. Players start out with 50,000 chips and blind levels are 20 minutes long until the start of tomorrow’s final table when they will switch to 30 minutes. Registration is open until the start of Level seven. Players will play 17 20-minute levels today.
The PPC Poker Tour, also takes 20% of the prize pool for packages to the PPC Aruba World Championships November 2nd through the 8th at the Hilton Aruba Resort with a $500,000 guaranteed Main Event.
The winner along with the cash and the PPC Aruba World Championship Package will also win a trip to the PPC Champion of Champions Tournament at Maryland Live! Casino, a pair of Blue Shark Optics glasses and apparel from Kicker Power/Kicker Problems.

Isabelle Tremblay is in the field for the PPC's first-ever visit to Playground Poker Club. The driver has taken pretty quickly to playing poker and has been a mainstay at the World Cup of Cards.
Tam Ho is another tournament regular here at Playground Poker Club during the WCC, he has the biggest stack so far.

The players are heading to their first break of the day in the PPC World Cup of Cards. There are currently 116 players registered with 113 remaining. The tournament is a freezeout and registration is open until the start of level seven.
The PPC drew 137 entrants and the prizepool has been announced. Below is the prizepool break down. The Aruba Packages will be awarded to first and second place.
The $4,500 package gets a $2,400 PPC main event buy in, four nights hotel stay, and a $300 flight credit. The $3,743 package includes several smaller tournament buy ins, five nights hotel stay, and a $300 flight credit.

There are 73 players remaining in the PPC World Cup of Cards, Event #18. Roger Lamia leads the way with over 300,000 chips and William Blais is one of the bigger stacks. Blais is in the top five of the tournament leaderboard and is set to make another deep run.
