Dilemma Diverted

Level 8 : 300/600, 0 ante

The action folded around to Ismael Bojang on the button who opened to 1,500. Tam Truong then raised it up to 4,800 from the big blind. Bojang called and both players watched as the flop came down {j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. Truong then moved all in for his last 4,000 and was called.

Truong: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Bojang: {k-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}

Truong tabled his cards as did Bojang, but the dealer didn’t hear the call and mucked Bojang’s cards. Bojang as well as the table quickly tried to fix the problem, with the tournament director needing to be called over to retrieve the cards.

After pulling out the bottom four cards from the muck and having all the players confirm they were indeed Bojang’s, the dealer proceeded to complete the board. Both players had the same straight draw but Truong had the draw to the higher straight. The {10-Hearts} gave Truong the higher straight with the meaningless {9-Diamonds} coming on the river.
