Putt Finally Succumbs

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

New Zealand poker legend Graeme Putt had been nursing a short stack for much of the evening, and he finally committed his last 2,650 preflop against Casey Kastle.

"You're ahead," Putt admitted even before the cards were turned up. Sure enough, Kastle was.

Putt: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Kastle: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Putt had a kicker problem, and the {k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop did little to resolve it. The {7-Clubs} turn offered some chop options, but it didn't come to pass as the {8-Hearts} blanked on the river.

Shack-Harris Takes a Big Hit

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

Action folded to Jay L. on the button and he put in a raise. Brandon Shack-Harris responded with a three-bet to 1,400 from the small blind, the big folded, and Jay pushed back with a four-bet to 3,600. Shack-Harris thought long and hard before announcing that he was all in, and he didn't seem thrilled when Jay called off for 16,425 total.

Shack-Harris: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Jay: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Shack-Harris had picked the wrong spot to shove, or so it seemed before the {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop delivered him an open-ended straight draw. The {3-Diamonds} turn was of no consequence, and neither was the {7-Clubs} river. Shack-Harris missed his straight and sent the vast majority of his chips over to his opponent.

Negreanu Range Smashing

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

Action folded to Daniel Negreanu on the button and he raised to 475. The jovial pro then chatted with the players in the blinds and encouraged them to enter the pot. The small blind obliged, and then the player in the big opted to three-bet to 1,700. Negreanu gave him a hard time before making the call, the small blind came along, and three players took a flop of {4-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

The small blind checked, as did the big, and Negreanu was giddy with excitement.

"Range smashing," Negreanu stated before firing out 2,700. "Is that what they call it? Range smashing."

Negreanu then did an Incredible Hulk impression while uttering "range smashing, range smashing." The small blind folded, and then the big faked moving all in before releasing his hand.

"Oh, I was gonna call," Negreanu said excitedly. He then showed the {k-Spades}{q-Spades} for a flopped flush draw.

What, What in the Dutt

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

With around 1,500 in the pot and a board reading {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, Samuel Ngai checked and Surag Dutt bet 700 from the cutoff. Ngai responded with a check-raise to 2,400, Dutt called and the two watched the {Q-Spades} complete the board on the river.

Ngai fired out a big bet of 5,400, and after thinking for about a minute Dutt called. Ngai rolled over the {4-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for the nuts, and Dutt sent his cards to the muck.

Negreanu Flushes Leah

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

"Yeah, I busted him," is what Daniel Negreanu told us when asked if he knew what happened to Mike Leah.

Negreanu then explained the two got it in on a {10-}{2-}{5-} flop with two clubs. Negreanu held the {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a flush draw, while Leah had {q-}{q-}. The {q-Clubs} turn gave Negreanu the flush, but Leah could still win if the board paired. Unfortunately for him, that didn't happen as the {J-Spades} blanked on the river.
