Reina Chomps Down on the Croc

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Billy Argyros
Billy Argyros

Australian Poker Hall of Famer Billy "The Croc" Argyros got his last 22,000 all in on the turn with a board reading {7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs}. Joe Reina called him and the cards were turned up.

Argyros: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Reina: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Argyros was ahead with a set, but Reina was drawing to an open-ended straight draw. The dealer burned one last time and put out the {6-Diamonds}. Reina spiked his straight and an unhappy Argyros was eliminated from the tournament.

Hellmuth Starting To Dance

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Jason Mo and Phil Hellmuth put in 4,500 each on the {K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop to see the {A-Hearts} hit the turn. After Mo checked, Hellmuth bet 12,300. Mo gave it some thought, but folded, and Hellmuth was awarded the pot.

"Don't fold, man," Hellmuth said after Mo tossed in his cards. "I'm just getting started!"

Hellmuth then showed the {A-Spades}{K-Spades} for top two pair and said, "I'm just starting to dance!"

The Friendly Hand

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

From the hijack seat, Andy Lee raised to 4,000 to start the action. Fabian Quoss called from the cutoff seat, and then Jonathan Duhamel reraised to 12,500 from the button. Play folded back to Lee, and he called. Quoss also called, and the flop came down {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}.

On the flop all three players checked, and then they also checked the {K-Clubs} turn card to see the {A-Diamonds} hit the river. One by one, each player checked again, and then Duhamel turned up the {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} for a pair of aces on the river. Lee and Quoss mucked, and Duhamel won the pot.

"That was a friendly hand," said Duhamel as he pulled in the chips.
