We happened upon the action with Roland Israelashivili having 2,500 laid out in front of him while Casey Kastle and Van Marcus were all in for 10,350 and 10,200 respectively. Israelashivili was debating what to do, and after a couple minutes in the tank he released his hand.
Marcus:
Kastle:
Both players held aces, but the flop gave Marcus a redraw to a straight. The turn completed it, and after the was put out on the river, Kastle was left with just 150 in chips.
Marcus laid claim to those a short time later when his quads beat Kastle's full house on a board reading .

Australian Poker Hall of Famer Gary Benson is fresh off a fourth-place finish in Event #4 $1,650 Pot-Limit Omaha for $16,563, and he's in our field looking for even more PLO success. He's got a good shot at it too as he is already sitting with 40,000, much of which he just took off Sam Higgs.
We picked up the action with 12,900 in the pot and a board reading . Benson bet 7,000 from the big blind and Higgs thought for about 30 seconds before calling from the button. Benson tabled the for a turned set, and it was good as Higgs simply mucked his cards.

Sam Higgs limped, Jeff Rossiter did the same, and then Phil Hellmuth raised to 1,100 from the button. Geoffrey Moony called from the big blind, and then Higgs woke up with a three-bet to 4,700. Rossiter flatted, Hellmuth folded in frustration — leaving himself just 3,175 behind — and Moony got out of the way.
When the flop came down , Higgs announced pot and Rossiter snap-folded. Higgs then showed just the .

Players are now on the second 15-minute break of the day.
After three-way action preflop, only Bruno Kawauti and Tony Kambouroglou saw the turn and Kawauti moved all in for his last 10,325 after the bet of Tony "Toothpick" in the very last hand of level four. The latter made the call and upon seeing the cards of his opponent tried to muck his own . The dealer reminded him that the cards have to remain open until the final community card and that was the .
Kawauti was already secured the double up on the turn though, as he held for top set.

We missed the elimination of Phil Hellmuth, but we learned after the fact that he got his short stack all in preflop against Sam Higgs.

The board ran out clean, and Hellmuth is now 0-5 at the 2014 WSOP APAC.
"Usually I'm about a 4-1 favorite when I play pots in Australia. Not that time," Hellmuth said before departing.

Michael Wang raised to 750 from the button and found one caller in Mike Watson from one seat over. On the flop, Watson checked and Wang made the continuation bet of 1,100. Watson check-raised to 2,500 rather quickly and sent Wang into the think tank. The American eventually surrendered after a good two minutes and mucked his cards.
