Liu Pushes Out Salter

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Jack Salter opened to 17,000 from early position and Alexander Antonios called next to act along with Kyle Montgomery on the button and JJ Liu in the big blind.

The {3-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop was checked round as the {2-Spades} landed on the turn and Liu led out for 25,000. Only Salter called as the {10-Spades} completed the board on the river and Liu led out with a bet of 45,000.

Salter went into the tank for several minutes before eventually releasing his hand and slipping to 390,000 in chips.

Giuliano Over One Million

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Scott Davies opened to 17,000 from under the gun and was called by Jason Giuliano, Brandon Shack-Harris and Dylan Kehoe as the flop fell {5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}.

Davies continued for 43,000 once Kehoe checked and with the action on Giuliano, he raised to 100,000.

Shack-Harris and Kehoe quickly mucked, but Davies took a little longer before eventually opting to fold his hand and send Giuliano the pot to take him over the million-chip mark.

Aaron Lim Eliminated in 24th Place (AU$23,441)

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Aaron Lim - 24th Place
Aaron Lim - 24th Place

Aaron Lim checked the {Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop, and Brandon Shack-Harris bet 25,000. Lim check-raised all in for around 110,000, and Shack-Harris quickly made the call with the {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for middle pair and the nut flush draw. Lim had top pair with the {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}.

The dealer made things quick and easy, but it sure wasn't painless for Lim, as the {9-Clubs} spiked on the turn to deliver Shack-harris with a winning flush. The river was the {J-Hearts} to complete the board, and Lim was eliminated in 24th place.

Mikel Habb Eliminated in 23rd Place (AU$23,441)

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Mikel Habb - 23rd place
Mikel Habb - 23rd place

Scott Davies opened the hijack to 17,000 and Frank Kassela three-bet the button to 32,000 with Mikel Habb calling in the small blind before Davies four-bet to 90,000. Kassela called, and Habb called all in for his last 88,000.

The dealer spread a {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{K-Spades} flop and Davies checked to Kassela who moved all in to force a fold from Davies.

Habb: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Kassela: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}

With Habb in bad shape, the {J-Clubs} on the turn gave last year's 7th place finisher outs to a straight.

Unfortunately for Habb, the river landed the {4-Diamonds}, and he was sent to the rail in 23rd place

Shane Warne Eliminated in 22nd Place (AU$23,441)

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Shane Warne

The action folded to Victor Teng and he raised to 20,000 from the button. One seat over, Shane Warne three-bet to 46,000 and Gary Benson folded in the big blind. Teng pushed his stack of T-25,000 chips forward to put Warne all in and the latter called it off for what looked around 320,000.

Warne: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Teng: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The 888poker pro was in great shape to double up and put another dent into the massive stack of Teng, but lady luck had other plans. On the {J-Spades}{8-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} board, Teng improved on the flop and sent Warne to the rail in 22nd place for a payday of AU$23,441.

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Shao Liu - 21st place
Shao Liu - 21st place

Shao Liu opened the hijack to 17,000 and Tobias Reinkemeier called in the big blind to see a {Q-Clubs}{A-Spades}{K-Clubs} flop. Reinkemeier checked to Liu who moved all in for 115,000 with Reinkemeier instantly calling.

Liu: {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Reinkemeier: {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

With Reinkemeier having flopped a straight, Liu would need some help to stay alive, and when the {6-Hearts} landed on the turn, he was drawing to just a chop with one of the three remaining tens.

Unfortunately for the ex-Crown Poker Room dealer, the river landed the {Q-Hearts} to end his tournament in 21st place for an AU$23,441 payday.
