Kings Are Good for Volfson

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Seonguk Huh limped in under the gun, before Mikhail Volfson raised to 5,000 in the hijack. It folded back to Huh who made the call.

Both players checked after the 6Q7 flop, which brought the 6. Volfson then called a bet of 3,000 from Huh.

The river brought the 7 and both players checked to showdown. Volfson announced, "Kings," and tabled AKKJ to take the pot, as Huh mucked his hand.

Parsons Pips Haber

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Jake Parsons opened from the cutoff and Alexander Haber made the call on the button. Ren Lin defended his big blind and the dealer fanned out the J2Q flop.

"One Lady Gaga," said Lin and he checked. Parsons and Haber followed with checks to see the 2 turn. Another round of checks saw the J hit the river, where Lin checked one last time.

Parsons bet 3,000 and Haber called. Lin quickly got out of the way and Parsons turned over AJ103 for trip jacks with an ace. Haber showed king-jack and slid his chips to the right.

Haber Bets Big

Level 9 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Newly-crowned $50,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship winner Stephen Chidwick opened to 5,600 in early position and Boban Zhivkovikj called on his left. Alexander Haber came along in the cutoff, as did Ren Lin in the small blind.

The 1052 flop saw all four players check around and the dealer revealed the 6 turn.

Lin checked, followed by Chidwick and Zhivkovikj. Haber asked for a count of the pot and slid 25,600 into the middle. That produced quick folds from all three opponents, including Zhivkovikj who showed KK as Haber took it down with no further action.
