Zack Doubles Through Barbero

Level 12

No-Limit Hold'em

Jason Mercier opened the button to 16,000 before Nacho Barbero three-bet to 56,000 in the small blind. In the big blind, Daniel Zack jammed for 141,000. Mercier got out of the way before Barbero snap-called.

The K65 flop paired Zack but Barbero picked up more outs on the Q turn. However, the 8 completed the board and Zack got the full double.

"That might be the worst push I've ever seen in my life," bemoaned Barbero. "It's beyond terrible."

Phil Hellmuth opened to 16,000 in the hijack and Josh Arieh and Aaron Kupin both called in the blinds.

Arieh led out for 22,000 on the flop of 54J and both opponents called. The 7 turn then checked through and all three players checked again on the Q river.

Arieh showed a king-high flush with K1042 to pip the QJ98 of Hellmuth, who kept his composure after losing the minimum. "I thought I had the nuts," Hellmuth said.

Zack Quarters Mercier

Level 12

Stud Hi-Lo

Jason Mercier completed and Daniel Zack called.

Jason Mercier: 743 / 5569
Daniel Zack: 76A / 7453

Mercier led on fourth and fifth and Zack called both times.

On sixth, Mercier check-called a bet from Zack.

On seventh, Mercier check-raised after Zack bet and he put in the call. Both players held the seven-high straight for the high but Zack had the better low with his six-five to get three-quarters of the pot in a rare stud quartered pot.

Omaha Hi-Lo

As recounted by the table, Aaron Kupin opened preflop and Phil Hellmuth called. Kupin continued on the flop of 893 and called a check-raise from Hellmuth.

Hellmuth bet on the 2 turn and Kupin raised to put the "Poker Brat" all in. Hellmuth called.

Phil Hellmuth: AAxJ10x All in
Aaron Kupin: AK22

Hellmuth had a combo draw but didn't improve as the 9 bricked off on the river to mark his elimination.

He was eliminated right before dinner break, but he had already eaten a sandwich earlier in the event as cameras crowded around to see him take a bite.
