Desjarlais Fires Three Bullets at Duthie

Eric Afriat bet 12,000 from middle position on a flop of 4♦2♣A♣ and John Duthie called in the cutoff. Steve Desjarlais then raised to 27,000 on the button and only Duthie called.

The turn was the 10♠ and Desjarlais bet another 35,000. Duthie again called and the 7♠ fell on the river. Desjarlais then bet 55,000 and Duthie folded this time.

"Flop a straight?" Afriat asked Desjarlais, and Desjarlais showed 4♣3♣ as he took the pot.

Alex Livingston is also seated at this table.

With around 60,000 in the pot on a flop of 10♠4♣3♠, Karolis Sereika bet 42,000 from the small blind and Daniel Ghionoiu called on the button.

Sereika checked the K♦ turn and Ghionoiu bet 25,000. Sereika called and checked again on the A♥ river, and this time Ghionoiu bet 105,000.

Sereika took a minute before calling once more and Ghionoiu showed K♥10♣ for two pair. Sereika shook his head as he mucked.

Dumitru Pora raised to 10,000 in the hijack and Pascal Lefrancois three-bet to 35,000 in the cutoff. Pora then moved all in for 390,000 and Lefrancois leaned back in his seat with his arms stretched out. "Okay," he eventually said, putting in the chips to call.

It was a classic flip situation, and Lefrancois won it after the board ran out 6♠4♥6♣J♣8♦ to send Pora to the rail.

In a battle between the blinds, Rokas Asipauskas bet 15,000 on a board of 6♠K♣K♦4♣ and Liv Boeree called.

The river was the 4♦ and Asipauskas bet 25,000. Boeree then raised to 55,000 and Asipauskas snap-folded.

Table 123 just opened and some big blinds from other tables were moved to this who's who of the poker world. In order the table features Tyler Cornell, Dongwuk Moon, Alexandra Botez, Lucas Greenwood, Jean-Noel Thorel, Sam Greenwood, and Vanessa Selbst.

Thorel bagged a stack of 1,500,000 on Day 1b but is back to try and improve that number because what else is there to do in The Bahamas...if you have $25,000 to spend? The other six players are hoping to get a bag by the day's end in order to advance to Day 2 which will take place tomorrow.

Yu Hero-Calls Lewis's Overbet

Event #5: $5,000 Deepstack Champion Lei Yu opened from under the gun before Romain Lewis three-bet to 25,000 from the cutoff, and Yu called.

On the Q♣10♠5♦ flop, Yu check-called a 15,000 bet from Lewis.

The turn brought the J♣. Lewis fired a second barrel for 54,000 and Yu put in the call.

On the 2♠ river, Lewis emptied the clip as he put in an overbet of 203,000 into a pot of 196,000. Yu thought it over for about 15 seconds before he flicked in the call.

Yu made the correct call with just third pair against the missed flush draw of Lewis as he dragged a massive one early.

Atac Bluffs it Off into Adams

With the J♠8♠3♣3♠ turn on the felt, Salih Atac announced a bet of 18,000 from under the gun into the pot of about 40,000. Timothy Adams was in the cutoff and put in a small raise to 40,000. Atac made the call.

The dealer dropped the 8♣ on the river and Atac jammed for about 44,000. Adams snap-called to see the 10♦9♥ of Atac, a busted straight draw. Adams rolled A♥J♥ for two pair as Atac exited the table.

Roberto Romanello raised to 4,000 in the hijack and Pedro Cavalieri three-bet to 12,000 in the cutoff. Timothy Adams called on the button, but Jonathan Moritz four-bet to 57,000 in the big blind.

Romanello and Cavalieri both quickly folded, but Adams called to see the 8♦3♠3♣ flop. Moritz then bet 40,000 and Adams called.

The turn was the 5♣ and Moritz slowed down and checked. Adams then bet 60,000 and Moritz snap-folded.
