Liv Boeree raised to 27,000 in the cutoff with 77 and Mauricio Salazar Sanchez defended from the big blind with Q10. The flop came 963 and Salazar Sanchez checked to Boeree who bet 30,000. Salazar Sanchez check-raised to 105,000 and Boeree called.

The turn was the 8 and Salazar Sanchez barrelled another 130,000. Boeree wasn't going anywhere as she called to see the 3 on the river. Salazar Sanchez checked this time and Boeree contemplated turning her hand into a bluff before checking it back and winning at showdown.

Ostrander Wins a "Good Ol' Fashioned Race" to Bust Pardy

Greg Ostrander raised to 35,000 under the gun and Jon Pardy moved all in for 310,000 in the small blind. Ostrander took a few minutes and eventually called to put Pardy at risk.

"It's a good ol' fashioned race," Pardy said as the flop came J63 to give Ostrander top set. The 3 turn improved him to a full house, while Pardy made his exit once the 2 fell on the river.

"I don't like jacks too much," Ostrander said after the hand.

Bad Timing for Hakim as he Runs Into Funaro's Set

Jeffrey Hakim opened in the cutoff and Frank Funaro three-bet 105,000 from the small blind. Hakim called.

When the K97 flop hit the felt, Funaro continued for 55,000 and Hakim called.

The 4 turn was checked through to see the 8 on the river. Funaro led 55,000 once again. Hakim thought about it for a few moments before announcing all-in for nearly 500,000 and Funaro snap-called.

Hakim tabled 109 for a pair of nines as he stood up from his seat and Funaro tabled KK for top set.

Foggin Sends Parra to the Rail

Level 8 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Nino Parra opened the cutoff to 33,000, Paulo Mendez called on the button, and Marc Foggin called in the big blind.

On the A96 flop, Parra continued for 27,000 and Mendez folded before Foggin check-raised to 74,000 and Parra instantly called.

Foggin fired again on the 10 turn for 130,000 and Parra quickly called again.

On the 5 river, Foggin continued to apply pressure as he jammed for 335,000 effective as the covering stack, sending Parra deep into the tank. After over three minutes, the clock was called on Parra. With 15 seconds remaining, he slammed his chips across the line to put himself at risk.

Foggin had two pair while Parra just had aces with a low kicker as he hit the rail in a huge pot.

Alex Keating raised to 35,000 under the gun and Raj Vohra called on the button. Darren Elias then three-bet to 130,000 in the small blind and Keating moved all in. Vohra folded, but Elias snap-called for 500,000.

Elias had picked up aces and was a big favorite to double up as the flop came 8J8, but Keating spiked the 9 on the turn to make a full house. The river was the 7 and Elias was sent to the rail.

"Sorry, Darren," Keating said.

"It's alright," Elias said as he made a quick walk towards the exit.

Davies Grabs a Pot, Van der Spuy Blinding Out

Jim Collopy raised to 32,000 in middle position and Seth Davies flat-called on the button. The flop came J88 and Collopy checked to Davies who bet 35,000. Collopy called and the harmless 2 hit the turn.

Collopy checked again and Davies sized up a bet of 120,000. Collopy had enough and let his hand go, sending the pot to Davies.

At the same table, Jean-Pierre Van der Spuy is currently absent from his seat since the dinner break and is slowly blinding out with roughly 100,000 chips left.

Tanemura Fires All Streets

With a pot brewed of about 130,000 the flop read A62 and both Jean-Noel Thorel and Krasimir Neychev checked from the blinds before Kazuyuki Tanemura dropped 30,000 across the line. Thorel mucked his hand, but Neychev stuck around with a call.

The 10 hit the turn and Neychev check-called another bet of 75,000 from Tanemura.

When the 5 landed on the river, Neychev checked for a final time and Tanemura shot two chips across the line for a bet of 200,000. Neychev looked like he was in agony as he tried to make a decision for about 30 seconds before deciding to let it go,

Ripnick Gets Paid by Pannucci

John Ripnick raised to 35,000 in early position and John Pannucci defended from the big blind. The flop came 953 and Pannucci check-called a bet of 60,000 from Ripnick.

The turn was the 10 and Pannucci led out with a bet of 90,000. Ripnick called and the Q completed the board. Pannucci checked this time and Ripnick splashed in a bet of 200,000. Pannucci went into the tank for a couple of minutes but eventually called. Ripnick showed A10 and Pannucci was unable to beat it, flashing the 10.

Jason Mercier just entered for the first time on Day 1d and opened to 32,000 from under the gun on his very first hand. Farid Jattin called from the big blind and they went heads-up to a flop of A109.

Jattin checked to Mercier who bet the minimum of 16,000 and Jattin check-raised to 58,000. Mercier gave a puzzled look and sent his cards to the muck, already starting with a deficit.
