Jacks Suck Out Against Aces in Four-Way All-In Cooler
They say aces are a hand best played against a single opponent. Kevin Bass found that out the hard way as he had a chance to quadruple up with pocket rockets before an unfortunate river card sent him packing deep in the $2,500 WSOP Circuit Championship Mystery Bounty.
Bass, Rod Ward, Mark Darner and daylong chip leader Christopher Nguyen all found themselves all in preflop and the cards were flipped.
Rod Ward: 9♦9♥
Mark Darner: J♠J♣
Kevin Bass: A♦A♠
Christopher Nguyen: K♣K♦
Each player had a pocket pair and the flop of 2♣5♦6♠ kept Bass' aces in front. The 2♠ didn't change anything, but the J♥ river sucked the life out of the room as Darner improved to a set to nearly quadruple as Bass and Ward were both sent to the rail.
Ward was still in good spirits after taking part in the crazy hand and even provided PokerNews with a video of the action.
