Huge Pot Goes Ju's Way

Level 3 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Manuel Alvarez opened to 8,000 from under the gun and called when Samuel Ju three-bet to 29,000 from the cutoff.

On the A74 flop, Alvarez check-raised to 95,000 over a bet of 40,000. Ju jammed for 558,000, sending Alavrez into the tank. The latter covered Ju by 2,000, and after some time banks went to the dealer, Alvarez called.

Alvarez decided to get it in with a flush draw, and he added some extra outs to Broadway after the Q turn. The 4 river however, gave Ju the checkmark and 1,184,000 chip pot.

On the next deal, Jon Vallinas raised to 8,000, folding out the table. Alvarez was forced all-in from the big blind and the cards went on their backs.

Alvarez's K5 was dominated by KQ, and he exited the event after the A646J runout.
