Tregoubov Rivers Romanello; Maslak Runs into Kings
Igor Tregoubov opened to 16,000 from the cutoff and Roberto Romanello defended his big blind.
Romanello check-called for 20,000 on the 5♣3♣2♠ flop before the Q♦ turn checked through to the 10♦ river. Romanello fired out 14,000 and was quickly called. Romanello, a member of poker's Triple Crown club, turned over 6♥5♥ for a pair of fives. It was no good against Tregoubov's 10♠9♥, which rivered a pair of tens to take the pot.
On another table, Konstantin Maslak was all-in and at risk to Fernando Gutierrez Alfonso for just over 400,000. The action was caught with the cards on their backs, and Maslak was in rough shape.
